An alligator was found in the South Branch of the Chicago River near West 37th Street Friday afternoon, police said.
The alligator, which is about 5 feet long, was found alive near
West 37th and South Racine Avenue in an area of the river known as
Bubbly Creek. The reptile was found by an employee at Midland Metal
Products, which is located nearby.
Police were notified about the alligator at 2:15 p.m., as was
Animal Care and Control. The agency then contacted a local
herpetologist, who, along with his son, pulled the reptile from the
water with a pole and rope, said Anne Kent, director of Animal Care and
Control.
"Everyone feels it was someone's pet and they just threw it in," Kent said.

That section of the river, Kent said, has a lot of carp swimming
around, indicating it's possible the alligator, which was in good
condition, was feeding on those fish. The alligator did not try to
attack anyone, Kent said.
Animal Care and Control, she said, is not equipped to handle
alligators, which is why the herpetologist was called out to the scene.
She said the herpetologist will give it "a home and provide a sanctuary
for it."

That's funny! I just had an alligator dream!
Well this will be interesting. I'll give you my take then cruise over to your blog to see what you wrote! Fun!
I'm WAY happy to hear about your daughter!
And, in fact, she popped into my mind when you mentioned you had an Alligator dream!
So many of the symbols in your dream point toward prosperity and abundance..swimming in the sea/water, fish, the log! Then there's those Alligators that were headed straight for you!
Wither you have real life enemies that wish to harm your finacial success (or recovery) or the Alligators are symbolic to your fear about a lack of money.
Whichever it is, you, along with your fish buddies (a sword is a symbol of though while fish are symbols of emotion, artistic talents and spiritual/psychic/intutive qualities) worked together toward abundance as a group (or family) and the act of accomplishing monetary increase chased away your fears of lacking money. As if you all, collectively, began to experience positive and/or surplus income individualy which lessoned the stress on everyone at once together and individualy.
Does that make sense to you?
Now to see what you wrote!
You did?!! You know me and dreams... Is it okay to ask you what your dream was?
Also, how is your daughter? Are things better?
I blogged about my alligator dream in one of my recent blogs. I'd be interested in hearing your interpretation. In a nutshell, I was swimming with a swordfish and some other fish when some alligators entered the water, heading straight for us. The other fish and I joined together to pull a log into the water, blocking the alligators, and eventually pushing them back! I had my own interpretation, which I shared in my blog.
Also, my daughter is doing so much better! She just got her first real job! Thanks for asking!
OMG.
someone had to dump it there...
Or, flushed it down the toilet! LOL
No, I'm sure someone let it fo there. Probably thought it would such a big joke!
WOW!! We had one in one of our area lakes here. We are about 5 1/2 to 6 hours from the coast up here. Guess they can end up anywhere.
