Many managers are under the gun to produce short run profits.
Thus, many managers face firing if they persue environmentally safe projects.
Even if laws exist to protect the environment, poor governmental oversight dooms them.
I don't purchase Proctor and Gamble products because they engaged in unnecessary animal testing. I've given up some of my most favorite products because I cannot support that.
Loreal cosmetics is the most deplorable. I won't purchase their products not matter how good they are.
I don't eat meat even though I loved a good fillet mignon because I oppose factory farming and the deplorable conditions.
I will not purchase clothing that is manufactured with slave labor or child labor no matter how nice or trendy it is.
The people control what they want and ignore what they don't care about. Put your money and your tastes where your mouth is, and let us see how many Americans would openly chose to exploit and abuse verses giving something up. That is what needs to change. Government is only a reflection of the people.
Nevertheless, the ad exec must go home at night. His kids get their information from Colbert and MySpace. The kids scold him for wearing a slave made shirt or eating Kangaroo meat at the local hamburger joint.
No father can take that.[LOL]
