A Cozy Fireplace in Homer Glen

A Cozy Fireplace - Homer Glen

This Old, loud and clanky and rattling, Green Blazer with a magnetic advertisement on the side for "A Cozy Fireplace", stopped by in front of my house a few minutes ago, more than once. They pulled into the cul-de-sac, sat there then took off, then came back and pulled into the cul-de-sac, sat there, then took off. How strange? They appeared to be lost or dazed and confused. They were just parked in the cul-de-sac for a lengthly period of time so I decided to walk up to them to see if they needed help finding something but as soon as I approached them, they took off like a bat out of hell. What's up with that? I swear, some people just don't like neighbors of Homer Glen residents who are only trying to help them.

Just a thought: get their license plate no. in case they're not benign. We have people driving into our cul de sac all the time, probably looking for homes for sale since this is a water community. We tolerates 'em. [SMILE]

Bizzare behavior. I am not a fan of strange weirdos. They do seem to find me on a regular basis! [THUMBDOWN]

I hear you. I can usually "feel" stuff that isn't wrong, especially when it relates to children. At the residence I lived in before moving here, there was a man one day that was walking up and down the street of our subdivision by himself. I had never seen this person before and he gave me a terrible feeling. Everyone noticed it but none of the neighbors wanted to do anything about it. I thought they were NUTS! I called the police and filed a report. Turns out the guy was a convicted child molester!!!

Everybody is so afraid. Give me a break. The reason crimals are running rampant is because we ALLOW it! Oooooh, I'll get on a roll about this kind of thing. [MAD][GLARE]

They sound lost or ? I have people pulling into my drive way all the time to do who knows what. the 1st year it bugged me, now I hardly notice them. Its a big gravel driveway and I think people just see it as a good stopping point to make cell calls, check directions etc. or just to turn around in.

Well, after I took his picture, he didn't come back. That's my new defense! LOL [LOL]

very strange, i do not mind the people turning up during the summer (they are usually tourists) I do not like it, when it is 'out of season', then, i do try and take the particulars of the car/vehicle - just in case!

Hmmmm! We, the camp, is oh let's say 100 yards of the road and every once in awhile someone will drive all the way up to our mess hall (dining hall for you non-exmilitary types) stop, look confused, turn around and leave. Never gave it much thought - but I guess these days you gotta be careful - so make sure you are. OK?

Oh, me? I am fine. Unless someone has a gun and I do not, I'm going to win! No doubt about it![THUMBUP][LOL][THUMBUP]

strange! But I'm so bold, when people come thru our neighborhood with "odd" trucks and such I stand there where they can see me and write down the plate number and let them know I KNOW they are there... I've also been known to yell SLOW DOWN on our quiet street and speeders go by.... I'm sure that think, " that lady sure is an old fart!"[BLUSH][LOL][WINK]

    Dear Homer Glen Resident,
Although I cannot recall this exact morning you have pictured, I can assure you there was zero malice in my efforts. I am the owner of A Cozy Fireplace in New Lenox and must have been looking for an address of one your neighbors for a in-home appointment. I do apologize for the green truck, it has since been replaced. In the future, please dont ever hesitate to call.

Well, that is nice but I don't recall my saying that there was any malice. [smile]

I see you are closed today in observance of Easter. Nice of you to stop in and register just to speak to me. I am honored! [BLUSH] Have a nice day, Mr. Reihn. [THUMBUP][HEART][THUMBUP]

I just spoke with Len Rhein from A Cozy Fireplace! My. Rhein is a very nice guy. We had a pleasant chat. He found me through google! I suggested he use Blogster more often for if he found me googling his business name, just think of what he could do for himself! [THUMBUP]

    Welcome to Blogster, Len!
