This babey dove is gowing amazingly fast. I took at look at he/she before retreating to my bedroom last night and noticed that the feathers were all starting to pop their plumes at the end of the quills. I thought how that must be so uncomfortable for the little one. I've read that the feather gorwing process can be a painful one. The poor thing is sort of shivering right now. I don't know if that is norml sleeping actions or it he/she is cold.

Look how quickly this one is growing!
Mom is not doing such a great job keeping the nest clean. I think I'm going to have to take care of that for her. I'll wait one more day before I do that. Is this thing cute or what?

Yes, they do. They coo all the time. That is how they communicate. My full sized doves get cery excited when I talk to them and they Coo and Coo. It is very cute.[HEART]

he/she is tucked under mommy right now and looks quite content. The baby is absolutely adorable![HEART] I'll take another picture later on today as it's feathers are puffing out and he/she looks positively angelic.[HEART]
