I had a terrible dream just before waking today about a a space shuttle that disintegrated as it was returning or coming in. The Astronauts were attached to it via a cable and were walking on the ground while attached to it trying to put out the fire on the shuttle. The shuttle came into view from those on the ground (there were a lot of spectators) and it was a blaze of fire. The astronauts were still trying to put out the fire when it came in at such rapid speed and disintegrated everything very rapidly. There were animals there too - like Shetland ponies - and other animals and they too were fried from the force. I remember saying to myself in the dream that it was "two farms down". Which meant it was two parcel away from me but they were farms.
I looked up space shuttle flights and I discovered one took off on Friday for a 12 day mission. I hope this is not a dream that comes true.

It could also have something to do with war. Things falling from the sky in dreams are synonymous with war.

What a frightening dream!! Hope you don't have psychic powers!! We did see the take-off. It was delayed because something unknown was dangling off the bottom! [OHMY][OHMY]

I have been very concerned about Atlantis since I heard that a four-inch tear in its reentry protective foam cover was discovered after lift-off. NASA is considering the best way to fix the problem before the return to Earth, probably with a space walk. Gives me the heebee-jeebees, since a similar problem caused the Columbia shuttle disaster. Eeeeeeeeks. I've got a prayer candle going.
