PROCEEDS HELP FUND SEARCH EFFORT
BOLINGBROOK -- A volunteer group devoted to finding missing mom Stacy Peterson has made available a line of merchandise they are selling to support their search effort.
"We are fundraising for our search efforts to find Stacy," said Sharon Bychowski, the missing woman's best friend and next-door neighbor. "Here are some of the items we have available."
These products include "Where is Stacy???" bumper stickers for $2, Stacy Peterson T-shirts for $10, yard signs for $10, and dog tags that read "Searching for Stacy," "We love you," and include the group's Web site, www.findstacypeterson.com, and the state police tip line at (815) 740-0678.
The merchandise can be purchased at 9 a.m. every Saturday when the group meets at the Bolingbrook Aquatic Center, 200 Lindsey Lane.
The group meets at the aquatic center prior to their weekly searches for Stacy.
The demand for the products has outweighed the supply.
"We're on our second order of dog tags," Bychowski said. "We've had so many requests for the yard signs, we printed them."
Stacy Peterson vanished Oct. 28. State police have called her disappearance a "potential homicide" and named her husband, former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson, a suspect.
Stacy is Peterson's fourth wife.
State police also are revisiting the March 2004 death of Peterson's third wife, Kathleen Savio.
Savio was found drowned in a dry bathtub.
Her death was ruled accidental, but a forensic pathologist conducted a subsequent autopsy in the wake of Stacy's disappearance and concluded that she was the victim of a homicide.
