The Weather Underground Lesson

The great lesson in this movie is: Violence never works. Peace can never be the means to justify violence because violence never works. Peace driven thoughts of radical violent actions in an effort to force change toward peace upon others, whether those others be individuals or government, is a serious mentally afflicted state of mind.

This serious mentally afflicted state of mind includes ALL manners and methods of forceful change, whether they be in words, actions, or merely intentions. For example, if you strive for world peace yet you promote violent rebellion through negative words and believe you are justified in extending your anger outward simply because you strive for world peace, you are one of those who suffer from this serious mentally afflicted state of mind. It is a psychological illness born of ignorance and lack of diplomatic experience through all faucets of life. A cure is readily available and is a part of everyone innately but comes to those who understand the only thing they can ever control is themselves and everything else beyond their control is simply the way it is and through acceptance of what is, one finds a remedy for violence and begins to understand what it takes to live in peace and harmony because they live it within.

Peace and harmony come from within and radiate out, as does everything. We all share what we feel and what we think we know. The only way to promote peace, is to live in peace internally as that becomes the magnetic force you extend outward that attracts like force back. What you give is what you get. What goes around comes around. Like kind attracts like kind.

In order for world peace to exist, every individual must live internally in peace. The goal is not how to change everyone else; the goal is to learn how to live in an unaltered state of internal peace and this is accomplished within the epiphany moment of understanding that one can only change themselves. From that moment of understanding, the force that is extended outward is one of peace which draws out like kind in others and therewith, the path toward world peace is created.
